Directed, Co-Wrote, and Executive Produced Short Sci Fi Film Shot on RED EPIC at 5k!
We made laser guns, and costumes. We secured 15 acres of land to shoot. Everything that could go wrong did. Everything that needed to go right to make it work miraculously transpired. We took a shot at attempting to raise funding on Kickstarter for VFX, but that did not work. So I'm working with a small team of vfx artists to finish the film ourselves. This is an excercise in doing the hardest thing possible on a small scale. It looks extraordinary! I managed to raise $20,000.00 privately to shoot the film, which is far more than we raised on Kickstarter. So I'm going back to private funding. We will be one of the first sci fi short films shot entirely on a RED Epic...provided we can release the film in a timely manner. Now I know why...it's the hardest possible kind of film to make.
